SEAS LInc Post-Doctoral Fellowships- Position Openings

Position Overview:
The Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences invites applications for Postdoctoral researchers to support Faculty Fellow(s) of the SEAS Learning Incubator (Linc) for a one to two-year appointment. This is a program focused on innovation of educational pedagogy in engineering and/or science. 
We seek individuals to work with Linc Faculty Fellow(s), other education postdocs, and SEAS staff to develop and coordinate innovative courses and curriculum. Successful applicants will help design or redesign courses, and assist developing program-level learning objectives, assessments, and pedagogy; administer and evaluate assessments of student learning and of student attitudes toward engineering and science; supervise and guide development and testing of teaching and learning materials including IT learning resources, and assist in the initial implementation of the newly designed courses. 
Essential Responsibilities:
●    In collaboration with Linc Faculty Fellows, develop sustainable procedures for identifying and effectively using broad based learning goals, associated assessment tools, and proven teaching techniques in select new undergraduate engineering courses
●    Liaise with others involved in Linc to coordinate educational innovation in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences

●    Coordinate a pilot trial of the newly designed or redesigned courses
Position Requirements:
A Ph.D. in applied mathematics, computer science, physics or various areas of engineering including biomedical, electrical, environmental and mechanical engineering.  Applicants must articulate their interest in innovative curriculum transformation and research, as well as any prior involvement with such activities. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
This position calls for excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Fluency in English is required. Experience in the development of educational materials or curriculum, on-line teaching, project management, and familiarity with current pedagogical research at the post-secondary level will be considered assets.

 This is a term position with possibility of renewal, beginning ASAP.
